Some things in life are just too special to celebrate in any ordinary way. So, you do it the only way you know how ,and the only way that seems fitting for the occasion. Whether it’s a wedding, a graduation, a promotion or even a birth. Some pull out an old bottle of wine they’d saved for this particular moment. For others, it’s a cigar with the identifying blue or pink wrapping. When Parik was born, his father – overseas and unable to get home for the birth – celebrated with a shot of champagne from a woman’s shoe.
And so it only seemed fitting, that on the day his son married his beautiful bride Sonia, Parik should continue the tradition and toast his marriage with a shot of champagne from her shoe. At least that’s what his father thought! And that was just one of the adoringly unique aspects of Sonia & Parik’s wedding week.
The week began aboard the MSC Magnifica Luxury Cruise Liner, a name so appropriately fitting for a trip that was simply magnificent. We started the journey in Bari, Italy before continuing on to Greece, Turkey, Croatia and finally ending up in Venice, Italy. Every day was beautiful and every small town and city we ventured to even more romantic than the last.
The day of the wedding, Sonia slipped into her non-traditional, but so definitely “her”, coral pink wedding gown with a rhinestone trim and a slight princess cut neckline. She was stunning and so comfortable in her originality. Parik and his 11 groomsmen all wore a light cream colored suit with a peach collared dress shirt, matching Sonia’s 10 bridesmaids’, strapless peach tea-length gowns.
To say we had a good time with Sonia & Parik would be like describing the cruise ship we boarded as a passenger ferry. Words cannot describe this multi-cultural, multi-colorful, week-long adventure we spent with Sonia & Parik and their absolutely amazing group of family and friends.
To our inimitable bride and groom – may you have many more reasons to celebrate and many more adventures to experience together. Thank you for letting us be a part of such a beautiful wedding. We can’t wait to hear what’s next!
