Love is All You Need | Estates of Sunnybrook’s gorgeous Vaughan Estates in Toronto

There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done.

Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung.

All you need is love, love, love is all you need.

Sarah + Sean are lovers of many things, from The Beatles - to travel - to all things Irish. He is a kindhearted hopeless romantic and she is a sweet and sporty girl. They were such a perfect match that their good friend, Kaylee, felt compelled to introduce them to each other. After 7 years of dating and 2 years of engagement, we’ve come to their wedding day!

They had actually blown off some steam the night before the wedding by attending a Bruce Springsteen concert, but were bright-eyed and excited as they prepared before the wedding. Sarah glowed as she pieced together her amazing bridal look: first she fascined her elegant crystal tiara and veil, then slipped on her “something blue” Manolo Blahnik heels (okay, if you must know, NFL San Diego Chargers blue!), then her princess-cut gown and finally sat down while the last swipes of blush were applied. The last touch was provided by her mother and grandmother, who gave her a beautiful sentimental necklace which had been worn by each generation on their wedding day, dating all the back to her great-grandmother’s wedding day.

Sean’s room had gifts, too, but these goodies were given by the groom! To show his appreciation to his groomsmen, and because Sean loves technology, he gave each guy an Apple Nano watch.

The wonderfully down to earth ceremony took place at the Estates of Sunnybrook’s gorgeous Vaughan Estates in Toronto. All eyes were on the adorable flower girl with her beloved bunny and basket of flowers, until they saw beautiful Sarah as her father escorted her down the aisle. Sarah and her lovely bridesmaids in their soft grey cocktail dresses looked perfectly placed in the garden where the bride and groom wed. Guests wore joyful smiles and the air rang with sweet laughter. The ceremony ended with everyone walking to the reception, and along the way Sarah + Sean flashed us an excited “thumbs up”!

The wedding party shots were fabulously candid. Even the posed photos captured the couple’s essence as they beamed at each other. They were a blast to work with!

Their reception offered an array of eye candy thanks to Sean. He’s a lighting tech and personally created the lighting display for the evening which included delicately colourful lights, romantic spotlights and two enormous spheres of light outside the ballroom. These light spheres were awe-inspiring. One sphere resembled the moon and was strategically placed outside the window behind the head table; the other resided on the terrace.

The motto of their wedding was “Love is all you need”, and they made their grand entrance to this amazing Beatles’ song. Also, because of their love of Irish culture (Sarah is actually a devoted member of the Irish Cultural Society of Toronto) they gifted each guest with personalized green and white M&M’s. The wedding cake is definitely worth mentioning - it was incredibly unique and decedent with gold leaf trim, blue calligraphy and an ornate flower – amazing! Between the brilliant lighting and all of these little details, their personalities really shone!

As for entertainment, Sarah’s brother, who was also the MC, gave a brief history of the Vaughan Estate in his speech. When he was finished, the other guests used spontaneous poetry to get the bride and groom to kiss! The crowd was amazing and Sean and Sarah loved every minute of their special day.

Congratulations, Sarah + Sean! Thank you so much for including us.
