As a wedding photographer, even I am privy to the almost insurmountable amount of time and energy that goes into planning weddings. That’s why I’m always particularly impressed when a couple personally designs part of the day – I am both acutely aware of the additional effort such a feat takes, but also very appreciative of the added personal touch. One incredible couple that did just that.
The couple’s stunning nuptials, held at the picturesque Royal Ambassador in Caledon, can only be described as fit for royalty. The bride was an absolute vision in her princess-style ‘Laura’ gown from Vera Wang, complete with a matching Vera Wang headpiece, and Christian Louboutin pumps. The groom also looked debonair in a unique white and black suit jacket, and a stylish black bow tie. The most spectacular element of the day, however, had to be the reception décor, which was designed by the bride herself, in conjunction with her florist, Ester Mauro. From the striking floral centerpieces to the bejeweled podium, the event’s adornment was nothing short of a masterpiece; so much so that I felt like royalty in its presence!
