This beautiful October wedding was an absolute pleasure to attend and photograph at the Gardiner Museum!
The couple were so overjoyed throughout the day and anybody could easily see how smitten they were together.
To start the day, we accompanied the beautiful bride as she walked from the Park Hyatt Toronto to meet her groom at the Gate House at Victoria College for the first look. Seeing the couple lock eyes for the first time on their wedding day was a such an emotional and touching moment. After the first look, the wedding party was photographed in the beautiful scenery surrounding the Gate House. The group was all smiles as they enjoyed each other’s company in the crisp October air and anticipated the events of the day.
Following the photo shoot, we walked down the block to the Gardiner Museum where the ceremony and reception would both be held. The morning ceremony was perfectly timed to take full advantage of the gorgeous, cascading light coming through the windows.
During this time, the wonderful team of Sarah Min decorated the hall for the reception with gorgeous flowers on every surface that perfectly coordinated with Katherine’s chosen colours.
The luncheon reception was undeniably heartwarming as many speeches were given and laughs were shared. The couple continued to enjoy themselves throughout the day, which was completed with a traditional tea ceremony. It was a perfect ending that captured the importance of the pair’s heritage and highlighted their family traditions. As all the festivities were winding down, it started to rain heavily, but the sun was still shining. They say it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day.
