From our first meeting with Jade and Chad, we knew this couple would be hard to forget. Whether it was their easy smiles or their kind hearts, we weren’t sure, but something reached in and took a hold of us. They’d created something magical together - something rare - and we were determined to capture that precious quality for them on their wedding day.
Robert Louis Stevenson once said that “wine is bottled poetry,” and so too, it felt, was the wedding day of Jade and Chad. The collection of images we were able to capture from their ceremony and reception speak in powerful verse of vintage love with a colorful, modern twist.
The celebration was held at the magical Reif Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The beautiful bride, who absolutely dazzled in an Alfred Angelo gown with strappy, royal-blue, satin heels, fell right in step with the picturesque venue. Poetry incarnate! Together with her groom, they welcomed guests from near and far at a beautiful old Victorian Bed and Breakfast located on the estate.
After a romantic outdoor ceremony, the bridal party ventured into the vineyard for some unique photo opportunities. It was a perfectly warm, dewy evening, and so with no interest in retreating back inside, the party continued outdoors for the remainder of the evening. Under a starry sky and a large white tent, the couple, along with their most beloved friends and family, sampled the estate’s vintage varietals and then hit the dance floor. And in a great spin on the traditional guest book, guests of the couple signed an old wine barrel that Chad refurbished himself.
