And They Lived, Happily, Ever, After

Once upon a time, in a land far from the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood movie-set, we – the consummate professionals, the photographers – found ourselves completely and utterly Star-Struck.

We arrived at the Old Mill Inn and Spa on the banks of the Humber River, prepared to photograph the wedding of Amanda & Michael – two beautiful people so obviously in love, it was almost painful. What we weren’t prepared for was the star-struck, almost paralyzing feeling we felt when we walked into their separate preparation rooms and found two of most stunning individuals we’ve ever had the honor of photographing.

Michael – who looked astonishingly similar to Jude Law from certain angles- was debonair in his black tux, white shirt and cream colored tie. Amanda though, well let’s just say she threw the paralyzing punch. She was a complete knock-out in her princess cut gown that was speckled with tiny white polka dots, and a pair of diamond drop earrings. She called the dress her “flirty dress” and that seemed to describe it perfectly.Amanda’s six sweet ladies all wore adorable knee-length lavender gowns, ruffled at the bottom and tied across the chest; while Michael’s groomsmen donned dark grey suits with matching lavender-hued boutonnières.

Despite the “oohs” and “aahs” we were feeling inside as we started photographing this group, we kept our cool and made it through the night. And what a night it was! The speeches were legendary and caused quite an uproar during their reception. The entire room was in hysterics at several points that night.

The real party though, hadn’t even begun. When the DJ’s from Star Productions got going, it was as if someone had flipped a switch. If it was previously on laughter – it was now on DANCE and boy did they! That dance floor was the hottest ticket in town and it was quite evident, a great time was had by all of Amanda & Michaels guests.

Many thanks to our gorgeous couple, Amanda and Michael for sharing your special day with us! And may you together, live Happily, Ever, After.
