At first it was just a few stolen glances as she walked past his office in the morning. She would wave a quiet hello and flash that beautiful smile. He would nod his head in recognition and wish her a good morning.

And that was it. They were adults and they were professionals. They were friendly co-workers, but that was it. Or, at least that’s what the rest of the office believed for the first 12 months of their relationship! But after a year of secrets, they finally decided to let the cat out of the bag and made their relationship official and public knowledge around the old water cooler.

Now, we obviously can’t speak for the sharpness of their co-workers – but we ask you – How in the world do you miss the chemistry, the connection and the adorable affection these two so clearly feel for each other? The only explanation we’ve come up with is that either Cameron & Melissa are two very convincing actors or that office is working just too darn hard!

When Melissa and Cameron finally revealed their secret relationship, the next step (for Cameron) was to propose. And propose he did – on the picturesque Amalfi Coast in Italy. With his grandmother’s ring, he asked Melissa to let the world in on their intimate secret – that it was them, together and forever. And you know what she did don’t you? She flashed that beautiful smile and coyly replied, yes!

When we met with Melissa and Cameron to discuss their photography needs for their wedding, we instantly hit it off. They have such a sweet connection and it was so evident in all of their images. They were married at Mildred’s Humble Kitchen in Liberty Village – such an amazing venue in the heart of Toronto. Melissa wore a princess cut Melissa Sweet wedding gown which fit her figure and her personality to a T! She paired the gorgeous gown with a delicate bird cage veil and a pair of cherry red Nine West heels to match Cameron’s cherry red socks. Cameron and his groomsmen all wore red and green plaid ties, symbolic of Cameron’s Scottish heritage.

One of our favorite pieces to this particular wedding was the bicycle theme they incorporated into everything from the cake (designed by one of Melissa’s good friends) to their invitation stationery, table numbers and menu cards. Cameron and Melissa have a shared love for bicycles and wanted to include this in the festivities.

But it’s our job, as photographers, to think about the future. It’s our job to picture you 15 years from now as you show your wedding photos to your children for the very first time. And it’s our job to make sure the moments from your wedding day are preserved in a way that will still hold great meaning to you when you’re old and gray and your wedding is just a brief memory in a life filled with special moments. Preserving Anna and Petar’s wedding was easy. They had a simple, classic grace that will easily be translated throughout the years. Their love for each other is obvious, whether they’re gazing into each other’s eyes or Anna, in a picturesque San Patrick gown, is sitting on Petar’s lap and we’re spying on them from the back.

We loved the special touches throughout the wedding that mixed classic and modern. The attire and flowers were beautifully timeless and the surroundings at the Credit Valley Golf and Country Club were stunning. But the groomsmens’ striped socks and eclectic table settings allowed Anna and Petar’s personality to come through in a way that will forever show the photos’ viewers who they are. Instead of a limo, Anna and Petar opted for a vehicle with a bit more character. They pulled up in an electric VW bus from The Electric Bus Company, allowing us to shoot some absolutely charming photos.

Anna and Petar got married because they saw a great future with one another. But on their wedding day, they’re stuck incredibly happy being stuck in the present with each other. And when it comes to love, the present is the most wonderful place to be.

Ashely + Evan’s wedding is the kind that makes it tough to cull through the photos after the big event. Every photo feels like the best; packed with the couple’s personality and cheer. Every photo feels necessary to the album because every photo means something. Ashely + Evan’s wedding is also the kind of nuptial that renews your faith in marriage and all things love. Ashley + Even are the type of couple who make our jobs incredibly easy. It’s simple to observe a gorgeous couple deep in love and snap all the best shots that show just that.

Their ceremony took place in the Courtyard at the Liberty Grand in Toronto, Ontario, under a white silk chuppah with flowers. After saying their vows and proclaiming their love, Evan broke the ceremonial glass and canons filled with confetti were fired off. What better way to celebrate the very moment of commitment? For the reception, the guests moved into the Renaissance Room at the Liberty Grand where wedding coordinator Judy Stein thought of every last detail, from the abundance of flowers and candles to the profusion of clear glass decor that perfectly fit the room’s romantic mood. The stunning white petal-embellished cake was one of the prettiest we’ve seen; the kind you almost feel sorry cutting into. Until you taste the sweet cake and realize it was meant to be.

Ashley + Evan were up for anything on their wedding day and the photos prove that they only had each other on their minds the entire day and evening. The bride looked absolutely ravishing and we loved that her ivory Oscar de la Renta shoes photographed so beautifully, especially in contrast to the groom’s shiny black shoes and rainbow-striped socks.

When Ashley + Evan declared their love for one another, the canons fired off confetti and the crowd cheered, making it clear that the newlywed’s family and friends felt the same way that we did. Everything changed with the marriage of Ashley + Evan; while at the same time, everything stayed the precisely the same. They promised to love each other and be kind to one another for the rest of their lives. And they will.

Just like a movie, we watched Jacquie + Dave’s wedding unfold right before our eyes and our cameras. They went from bartender and waitress to boyfriend and girlfriend to fiancé and fiancée and finally to husband and wife. The pond-side ceremony gave us plenty of opportunity to catch the perfect shot. Not that it was tough, considering the brilliant smiles plastered to the couple’s faces the entire day. The Brickworks also offered various stunning backdrops for incredibly unique photos featuring the bride and groom and their entire wedding party.

We also couldn’t resist snapping multiple shots of the wedding’s adorable ring bearer, Jacquie’s two-and-a-half-year-old nephew, who took his job quite seriously. The bride and groom and their guests danced to the music of an electric harpist playing classic rock songs, while towers of cupcakes were devoured.

Jacquie + Dave prove that love really can happen like it does in the movies. And we have no doubt that they’ve found their very own happily ever after.

Of course, Sarah was dressed all in white. And Devon and his groomsmen donned the traditional black and white tuxedo. But underneath their black jackets, the boys brought a burst of sunshine with their pale yellow vests and bow ties. And the bridesmaids continued the sunshiny theme with their perfect yellow dresses.

The flowers continued to illuminate the wedding from the ceremony, straight through to the reception. We couldn’t get over the incredible voluptuous bouquets held by both Sarah and her bridesmaids. With flashes of yellow, pink, and red; the bouquets perfectly matched the petals lining the aisle that Sarah + Devon walked down before saying their vows. And the gorgeous ceiling hung vases at the reception were absolutely overflowing with the vibrancy of the couple’s wedding colors.

Tying the sunshine theme together were the smaller touches like the table numbers, stunning cake, favours, and playful balloons. Everywhere we focused our cameras was another brilliant display of color. And Calico Cat Productions caught every colour on video, right down to the glow on the couple’s cheeks.  May Sarah + Devon’s future be filled with bursts of brightness.

Love makes you feel like you’re floating on air. And when you’re marrying the love of your life, you float away together, two hands held tightly to the string of a balloon; ready to face whatever beautiful adventures lay in your future. Catherine and Aaron should know. They held on tightly to the 36-inch pink and white balloons that added a stylish touch to their already fashionably chic wedding at the The Old Mill Inn & Spa in Toronto.

When we first learned that bride Catherine is a stylist for Style At Home magazine, we knew this would be a wedding packed with sharp touches to make us swoon. It was an intimate affair, consisting of 28 guests on the garden patio under a canopy. But, though the guest list was small, the day was filled with big moments and memories. Catherine dazzled in her strapless Mori Lee by Madeline Gardner princess dress. And we couldn’t help catching multiple shots of the bride’s perfectly flashy Badgley Mischka sequin shoes and the double feather flower hair piece that completed her look. Adding a flash of color were the bridesmaids who were donning kelly green strapless cocktail-length dresses by After Six.

Throughout the event, we floated on air right along with Catherine + Aaron. Catherine hand made paper cranes for each guest and there was a plethora of candy, brightly-colored macarons, and other pastries scattered throughout the reception. The guests swayed lightly to the sounds of a 3-piece jazz band as they gathered around the big dinner table, celebrating the love of Catherine + Aaron. At the end of the evening, the bride and groom picked up their balloons and floated away together; ready to begin the rest of their lives as husband and wife.

When Julia & Andrew first asked us to photograph their wedding day, we knew that details and venue were going to be of utmost importance to this couple. Which explains why they chose the Toronto Hunt Club for their ceremony and reception space. Just minutes from downtown Toronto, the Toronto Hunt Club offers guests the formal elegance of an uptown ballroom along with the pristine serenity of the scenic garden outdoors. Julia & Andrew were married outside underneath a beautiful wrought iron gazebo, adorned with cream colored roses and greenery galore.

The designers transform everyday, outdated rooms into absolutely stunning, sustainable living spaces. And given today’s brides are more Eco-friendly then ever before, we thought the wedding of Julia & Andrew would be a great example.

It isn’t hard to see that the cameras absolutely loved this bride and groom. Julia is one of the most naturally beautiful brides we’ve ever had the privilege of photographing, in fact, beautiful doesn’t even come close to describing her striking features. And Andrew is quite the looker himself. This couple is truly a match dreamed up in Hollywood Heaven. After a wonderful ceremony at Saint Vincent de Paul Church at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Sarah + Mike headed off to The Prince of Wales Hotel for photos and, though the rain was pouring down, the pair had non-stop smiles on their faces.

There’s something comforting about a rainy day. Listening to the raindrops patter down, sharing an umbrella, and being with the one you love. Or in Sarah + Mike’s case, being with the ones they love. Three of Sarah’s bridesmaids, in amazing Priscilla of Boston gowns, were her sisters and Mike’s groomsmen were his incredibly close friends, many from childhood.

After the photos we moved the party back to the Queen’s Landing where Angelica at Simply Beautiful Decor did a stunning job on the reception décor and Jennifer of Mimosa Flower Studio put together the perfect purple and white floral arrangements. Despite the rain that continued to fall outside, the atmosphere felt warm and joyful all evening long.

When Mike first met Sarah, he immediately said she was the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen. And we could see why he felt that. Sarah was a naturally beautiful bride in her Swarovski crystal Ines Di Santo wedding gown and Giuseppe Zanotti Chiffon Flower Sandals. And seriously, that incredible smile didn’t leave her face the entire night.

It’s a common school of thought that rain on your wedding day is good luck. We don’t think Sara + Mike need any extra luck, but now, every time it rains, instead of complaining about the weather along with everyone else, they’ll smile and remember how amazing their wedding day was.

As usual, we were privileged to tag along with the bride and groom as they dressed and prepared for their rituals. In case the pictures don’t convey it enough, Asal + AmirAli were two of the most beautiful and effervescent couples we’ve come across. They are class incarnate!

In her dressing room, the bride, slipped into a strapless Vera Wang gown and ribbon-inspired Jimmy Choo heels. While there were no bridesmaids or groomsmen, four friends accompanied Asal throughout the day to lend their helping hands.

The couple chose to marry in the grand ballroom at Copper Creek, situated on an expansive golf course just 30 minutes outside Toronto. It was the perfect venue—especially for the tons of traditional dancing after the ceremony. The day was drenched in emotion and filled with extraordinary moments, captured with our cameras and distilled for the couple to remember for the many happy years to come.

Sweet, airy and fantastically fun!

As it was, we were lucky enough to capture the nuptials of the groom’s brother, Jeff, and his wife, Barb, just a few short years ago. Reuniting with the family was just as we had hoped—like returning to the carnival that marks the opening of a joyful new season. Hayley + Todd carried on the tradition magically, even making a side-stop at a nearby ice cream cone truck on their wedding day.

How charming and lively they were—Hayley in her Kenneth Pool gown and golden Jimmy Choo shoes. Her bridesmaids wore slate silver dresses, each cut slightly differently around the shoulders to bring a certain nuance and detailed specificity to the day. Todd was surrounded by a boisterous bunch of groomsmen, all ready to jump in the air even before our request. The theme of the day was most certainly unadulterated glee.

After the ceremony the warm night air brought laughter, smiles and of course, lots of dancing. As good tradition goes, the couple was hoisted into the air and bounced in chairs in lively celebration. Needless to say, the images from their day say it all: Everyone had a blast, including us. Many thanks go out to the happy couple for inviting us to capture their special day. What a beautiful welcome to the start of spring!

One of our favourite moments to capture, at every wedding we photograph, is that moment. That instant when our couple suddenly stops to take it all in. The friends and family who are there to support them. The amazing vendors whose beautiful designs, ideas and creations were brought to life to create this beautiful day. Every last detail they had pieced together over the last several months. It had all been worth it. And now, now it was time to enjoy it.

When we first met our beautiful sea-loving couple Stacey + Zoran, we knew instantly we were going to capture that pure instant of bliss for the two of them. And we were right. That “ahh” moment was virtually built into the ceremony – held dockside to one of the oldest Tall Ships in Canada, The Empire Sandy.  And post ceremony? Stacey + Zoran invited all of their guests aboard the Tall Ship for a very unique and picturesque cocktail hour, as the Empire Sandy set sail around the Toronto harbour.

Pause. Take it in. Exhale. And repeat.

It was such a beautiful warm, brilliant afternoon and our gorgeous bride Stacey, was absolutely glowing. Of course she’s probably used to being in the spotlight as one of Toronto’s most beloved morning radio show’s co-host, but we were pretty sure, this evening was something even she was surprised by. We had such an amazing time with Stacey + Zoran and we were so happy to find out the evening wasn’t over when the boat pulled up anchor.

Stacey’s co-host at 88.5 The Jewel, Gary Gamble, hosted a reception for the newlywed’s at the National Yacht Club and oh what a reception it was. An evening of dinner and dancing; toasts and roasts, smiles and laughter and most importantly our beautiful couple – content, in love, and married. At last.

Pause. Take it in. Exhale. And repeat.

Simple. Radiant. Love.

Kristy + Brian met in high-school, but from the many looks we witnessed between the two of them on their wedding day, it would appear as though they’d just met. That goofy grin of awe and wonder on Brian’s face and those puppy dog eyes of Kristy’s – each time the other came into sight. They were top to bottom, head-over-heels, pure and simple – in love.

They Were, and Are. Will always be.

And we were just the lucky ones who picked them up and couldn’t put them down.

They were married at the Westminster Presbyterian church in Smith Falls, with friends and family traveling from all over Ontario to witness the joining of this beautiful couple. Kristy wore a gorgeous diamond white Maggie Sottero gown of Bordeaux Taffeta with a beaded lace princess cut neckline, and paired it with an adorable pair of crisp white ballet slippers. Brian was strikingly handsome in his black and whites and it was very evident – they were the apple of each other’s eyes.

We had an absolute ball photographing these two in and around The Strathmere, which is a beautiful 200 acre country retreat located just south of Ottawa. Kristy + Brian chose The Lodge for their reception location which is just one of 3 venues on the estate. But before the party really got going – the couple let us get a little creative in the lush cornfields on the property which resulted in a ton of amazing images.

Thank you for picking us off the shelf. For opening us up. And for seeing the beauty and the potential. Suffice it to say, we were not at all surprised with your fairy tale ending.

It was written in the stars.

When it came time to photograph the wedding of professional hockey player Daniel Paille, of the Boston Bruins and his gorgeous wife Dana, we brought our A-Game and our party hat, because this was not work. This was a party in progress, and we were honored for the invitation. How can you call it work when you’re sharing elbow space with a slew of NHL celebrities, a couple so glamorous and jewels so rich they call for a celebration themselves, and witnessing what can only be described as some all-out wild checking on the dance floor?

As a native of Canada and a hard-hitting left-winger since youth, Daniel scored his first NHL goal on January 14, 2006. What a rush! Yet surely that feeling paled in comparison to meeting Dana—the brunette beauty who agreed to marry him in Niagara-on-the-Lake, a small Canadian town in southern Ontario where the river meets the lake.

The day of the wedding, it began pouring down rain so we made our way to the Gracewood Manor for some indoor photos. What seemed a bit of unfortunate weather turned out to be a blessing in disguise— because shortly thereafter, the sun popped out we were able to capture a ton of fantastic images just outside the Hall of Queen’s Landing Hotel. What variety!

It’s no wonder Daniel fell for Dana, who wore a fitted Jenny Lee white strapless gown with a sweetheart neck. She was absolutely stunning, and the beautiful jeweled accessories supplied by Reeds Jewelers didn’t hurt either! (Which, by the way, insanely gorgeous.)

Our tremendous thanks to Daniel and Dana for the opportunity to photograph your special day. We had a blast with your entire group and can’t wait for the next NHL wedding!

Love can sweep you off your feet and make you weak in the knees.

Love can move mountains, divide oceans and tear down walls.

Love can lift you up, push you forward and set you free.

Love can be seen in a smile, an embrace. Or even just a glance.

For Amy & Nick – Love was all of this, and more. Love was walking hand in hand, as husband and wife.

Amy + Nick were married in an intimate church ceremony at the Holy Trinity Croatian Hall, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Amy, a glowing bride who wore a satiny white v-cut gown that rouched at her hip, a bouquet of bright pinks and an enormous smile, and Nick, a cheery fellow and a handsome one at that, are without a doubt, the kindest and most genuine couple we’ve ever had the good fortune to meet. There wasn’t a single moment – throughout the entire day – where a smile couldn’t be found on either of their faces. They were just two people, happy to have found one another and ecstatic to be making their connection and their commitment, official.

It was a beautiful day out, so we had picked out a ton of gorgeous locations to photograph our sweet couple. And then suddenly, from out of nowhere, an intense thunderstorm came hurtling into the picture. But our undaunted duo seemed not to notice and braved the powerful winds for a few more shots before we called it good.

The reception was held back at the Holy Trinity where Amy + Nick danced the night away amongst a spectacular array of sweets. Towers of chocolate cupcakes covered with pink frosting and sweet chocolate morsels galore! Apparently, for Nick + Amy, Love can be sweet!

Congratulations again to our awe-inspiring, cheeks-probably-still-ache-from-all-that-smiling, beautiful, lucky in love, sweet couple. We are inspired by you two, every day. Love can be a many splendid thing!
