When you meet Kelly & Corrado, you really can’t help but revel in their supreme happiness. Not a moment is taken for granted and not a day passes without sunshine. We were fortunate to photograph this charming couple’s engagement in Toronto’s Distillery District, and from the moment we finished, we were counting down the days to the wedding.

It’s not often we come across a couple who can exude as much happiness as Kelly & Corrado do. Their passion not only for each other but for life and for love and for the beauty that surrounds them was so inspirational, and completely contagious! Photographing Kelly & Corrado with their bridal party was like watching an extravagant trail of dominos fall – as each of their bridesmaids and groomsmen wore their hearts and their smiles on their sleeves.

Kelly, who was definitely the source for the giant smile that remained on Corrado’s face – was absolutely gorgeous in a Victorian style gown and cathedral length veil. Her lovely ladies all wore very vibrant lime green gowns, each a little different than the next, while Corrado and his groomsmen donned the traditional black tuxedo suits.

The reception, held inside the beautiful Governor’s Ballroom of the Liberty Grand, was elaborately trimmed with creamy champagne coloured linens and accents of deep pinks and lime greens. We had so much fun photographing these two – along with all of the special people in their lives – we didn’t want the night to end… and P.S. – we weren’t alone. No one wanted to leave this party!

Kelly & Corrado, thank you again for letting us be a part of your day and for reminding us about what life is all about. You are our real-life fairy tale and we’re so glad your story can be told.

A few years ago, while attending the University of Toronto, Joel snuck into one of the local fraternity parties with a phony set of tickets to the party. The Gods must have had a plan that particular night though, because not only did Joel get into the party, he also met a beautiful young co-ed by the name of Michelle.

We recently had the wonderful occasion to photograph the wedding of this adorable couple at the Liberty Grand in Toronto. The ceremony, which took place in the picturesque courtyard, was adorned with bright pink rose petals, littered down the white draped aisle. The bridesmaids all wore After Six, tea-length strapless satin gowns in just the slightest hint of pink. Michelle was stunning in an ivory trumpet gown by Priscilla of Boston, with some of the most amazing jeweled accessories we’ve ever seen.

The ceremony concluded with the traditional Jewish glass-breaking and off to the reception inside the Governor’s Ballroom we went. As reception venues go, the Governor’s Ballroom is utterly over the top, but add to it the beautiful floral arrangements and décor for this particular reception, and we were left speechless! It was more than we can actually describe on this blog (although we will try!). Elaborate, crystal and gold chandeliers – elegant floor to ceiling french doors which opened from the main ballroom onto the scenic courtyard below. And to top it all off, the room was accented with oodles and oodles of pink floral centerpieces with just a touch of gold trimmings. It required a moment of pause, just to take it all in and we absolutely must give a big high-five to the wedding coordinator, Heidi Gruenspan. Amazing work Heidi.

Family and friends celebrated the occasion with several heartfelt speeches. The most touching speech of the evening though came from the groom. Both families speak both English and Spanish and have an amazing relationship with one another. It was very apparent how much Michelle and Joel’s families cared for one another and everyone else who came to bear witness and be a part of this special day.

Congratulations to you Joel & Michelle. We had a wonderful time spending the day with you and your families and couldn’t be happier for you both!
