I’ll say it over and over. We are so lucky to do what we do. Shooting Brandy + Trevor at their Clydesdale farm takes this statement to the next level!
It’s said that farm work is the hardest work, and I don’t doubt that! From tending to horses to reaping crops in the fields, it wouldn’t seem that there’d be much time for play. Yet, one sunny afternoon I found myself on a working farm running, jumping, laughing and climbing!
We had the great pleasure of shooting Brandy + Trevor’s engagement portraits on Trevor’s family farm. This wasn’t just any farm; this was a chic Clydesdale farm! The barn was functional, but aesthetically pleasing, with clean lines and shades of slate. We took a few photos in front of the black door and then made our way inside for a series of rather acrobatic shots! Brandy + Trevor were soap opera worthy with their natural poses and keen use of props - I was very impressed! They stood tall with a rustic lucky horseshoe and chased one another up and down the ladder. They portrayed the perfect balance of down to earth elegance.
Other shots included cowboy boots and lace, glamorous lounging against hay bales and family photos with their sweet dog. My camera took full advantage of the shiny red tractor and impeccably groomed Clydesdale horses!
The best thing about shooting this gorgeous couple was that all of these stills seem to be in motion. There was such life in each moment, which translated to film in such a beautiful way.
